Yee-Haw!

Kamryn is taking horse riding class through the international school just up the street. I thought I would show you a few of the pictures! And while you are at it, go vote on which horse name you think is the coolest!!!

Can Heaven wait?

The little girls and I had a great talk about Heaven during lunch today. Well, it was more of a questionfest and Daddy was silenced during most of the questions...

What will we do in Heaven?
Will we have Bible time in Heaven?
Can I eat gluten in Heaven?
How will I get to Heaven?

And as they asked question after question, they all were like, "I want to go to Heaven, now!" Brady said something she must have heard me say before, "We are here because God must have something he wants us to do!!!"

Kamryn was quiet for awhile and then started talking about the rapture. Won't that be cool to see Jesus in the air. We talked about how people driving cars will just start floating up and cars will crash. Then, later she came in laughing. She said, I was thinking about how funny it would be to be on the trampoline jumping and then all of a sudden just to have the jump keep going up! I thought that was pretty funny as well.

Then, to top it off, Kam texted me from steph's phone to mine. Her first message was something like: "Up, Up, Up. I am floating up!" And then the next message was, "I'm in Heaven. Hi Jesus!"

The hope of Heaven here in Zambia is so real because life here is such a tragedy. But, let us not let money, comfort or anything else cloud the vision of the reality of heaven as our home!

Php 3:20-21 - But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Huckawho?

Being in Africa and all, this may seem a strange post. But, Governor Huckabee has been recommended by many people I have read about lately. I have done some research and I am continually impressed with his ideas, faith and how real he is! If you haven't heard about him, and want to know more, check out this link for all that he believes in and stands for! I am not sure if you are republican or democrat, but if you are either or neither, you need to read this article by Chuck Norris. A thoughtful, reasonable, insightful article. It is short, but a must read! Anyway, there it is! My one blog post about politics!

A look into Kamryn's world (and mind)!

You have to check out this little zoo that my daughter Kamryn put together... On her own one day during "free time" she made a little zoo in her bathroom!!! But in order to fully appreciate her ingenuity, creativity and marketing skills, you can click on the picture below. As you can see above each group of people or animals is a description and the description is priceless and worth reading. Again, this is totally her doing. But I was invited to the zoo. I had to pay, though.
