My favorite things...

This morning Julia woke us all up at 5:00am, thanks in part to the time change. As part of the deal, to keep Kamryn in her bed, I snuggled with her. She told me that she was looking forward to three things happening on Monday. You get to stay home, I don't have to do school and I get to go to Spanish class. I thought it was really cute.

Effective prayers availth much...

Dear God, please help Bradyn to stop lying...

She loves me, she loves me not...

One of my favorite parts of a dad is coming home. The garage door sounds, my car door opens and my kids burst through the door, yelling "daddy, daddy." I hug, I kiss and I feel like a rock star. But lately, I have found that while Bradyn and Julia still show me the affection, Kamryn has been a bit slow in this department. She won't get up from the TV, she won't leave her book or game. I must admit a bit of panic in this department, and I called her on it. I told her I was afraid of losing my rock star status, that I wondered why she wasn't coming to see me anymore and she apologized. I have noticed a significant change in her enthusiasm towards me lately as she is now running to see me, yelling "daddy," and making me feel important and valuable. Yesterday I came in, garage door, car door and still no girls. I walked in, looked left, looked right, still no footsteps running, no shrieks of delight. I peered in the tv room, and there sacked out on the floor, Kamryn and Bradyn, watching tv. I put my foot on Kamryn's stomach, and she looked up. She yelled, "daddy." She held her arms up to me and I leaned down to give her a big hug.

As she hugged me she said, "Daddy, I love you more than T.V."
